Morene Chow
Morene is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling at Western Seminary. She has experience working with children and adolescents during her time as a substitute paraprofessional and a high school teacher. It was through times sitting with students dealing with the pressures of school and life, listening to parents overwhelmed with the responsibilities of family life, and her therapy journey of healing and growth that she was called to the counseling field.
She desires to create a safe space where you are accepted with warmth and heard without judgement. She is interested in your personal story, exploring how you interact with yourself, the people around you, and your environment. Her goals are to explore with you the feelings and thoughts that arise in these interactions and collaborate with you on reasonable goals for change. She is particularly interested in helping individuals with their identity development, unpacking areas of conflicting values and building self-esteem and confidence to make life decisions.
Morene is native to the Bay Area. In her free time, she likes to draw, knit beanies for children and small dogs, go on peaceful walks, and spend time with friends and family.
