Lisa Collins
Originally from Ireland , Lisa moved to the US in the late 1990s. After a decade working in the UK magazine publishing industry, Lisa started a new career working with homeless people, for which she has won many awards. (2018 Housing Hero Award from CA Senate, 2017 Irish Echo Community Champion Award and 2004 San Mateo County People Who Care Award)
Working with the Bay Area homeless community inspired her to help even more and so in 2016 she earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Palo Alto University California . She is a member of both PSI CHI International Honor Society in Psychology and Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society in Counseling
Lisa is experienced in helping adults who are suffering from many different crises (divorce, illness, addiction, family struggles and more) in their lives. In addition, she is an experienced after school counselor, working with youth, focusing mainly on talk and play therapy, in addition to using her soccer and therapeutic skills.
Lisa loves living in the Bay Area and feels fortunate to have many friends both here and in her native Ireland and the UK . Lisa belongs to three different soccer leagues, book and dinner clubs and to relax she enjoys playing with her dog Lucky.
