“I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do”. Brene Brown
As a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, I will provide a safe, compassionate space for you to share your story. As your unique narrative unfolds, we will work together to identify potential areas for healing and growth. I use a client centered, strengths-based approach to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, overcome maladaptive coping skills, and obtain tools that will assist in the process. Additionally, we will work to identify and express the feelings that may surface as you gain insight and begin to align with your authentic self.
In our work together, I will draw from a breadth of life experience as well as clinical training. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults in the areas of complicated grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges and stressful life transitions. I will use a variety of evidence-based approaches to inform our work together. Some of these include; Depth and Attachment Work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, and Play Therapy.
When not working, I am grateful for opportunities that afford me time with my family and friends. Whether it be to share a good meal, go for a hike or discover a new experience together, these relationships bring me joy. I also love to swim, read, and often have an art or garden project in process.
