“A person is a fluid process, not a fixed and static entity; a flowing river of change, not a block of solid material; a continually changing constellation of potentialities, not a fixed quantity of traits.” ― Carl R. Rogers.
In my practice, I strive to create relationships with my clients that would foster their growth and help them achieve their full potential.
I value empathy and unconditional positive regard towards my clients. When someone is hurting, confused, anxious, alienated, or doubtful of their self-worth, understanding is called for. The gentle, empathic approach provides insight and healing.
I understand it takes courage and vulnerability to come to therapy, which I respect tremendously, and I try to do my best to take good care of the trust you place in me.
I work from a Person-Centered approach and draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based and Strength-Based modalities. I have worked with a wide range of populations, from adolescents to elders (65+), LGBQTI, and immigrants. I hold a MA degree in Counseling.
