In my practice, I strive to create relationships with my clients that foster their growth and help them achieve their full potential. I value empathy, and unconditional positive regard toward my clients. Understanding is called for when someone is hurting, confused, anxious, alienated, or doubtful of their self-worth. The gentle, empathic approach provides insight and healing. I respect the courage and vulnerability to come to therapy and try to take good care of my client's trust in me.
I work from a Mindfulness-Based approach and draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment-Based and Strength-Based, Trauma Informed modalities. I believe in providing psychoeducation to my clients, teaching empirically based interventions, and keeping myself informed on the newest modalities and interventions. I have worked with various populations, from adolescents to elders (65+), LGBQTI, and immigrants. I hold a MA degree in Counseling.
Whatever brings you here, I hope we can creatively and collaboratively explore your needs, goals, and aspirations.
