Karen Blesius Rhodes, LCSW, has over 30 years of experience in behavioral health and 6 years of experience as a clinical supervisor. Karen is accredited by the BBS to provide clinical supervision, something she is passionate about. Here she explains, in her own words: “I truly enjoy providing individual and group clinical supervision to trainees and associates; it is so rewarding to help bright professionals launch their careers.”

Karen was selected to lead clinical supervision at One Life in part due to her extensive experience as a therapist supporting individuals, families and groups in a wide variety of settings including community-based mental health boarding and care homes, shelters, community outpatient clinics, mental health court programs, temporary and LPS conservatorship, and even locked psychiatric hospital programs (acute and subacute).

Karen understands the rigorous process that associates and trainees are going through (especially in light of the recent BBS changes), and she is committed to providing support and guidance for those that are doing intense clinical work.

“I am a big believer in One Life’s mission that access to mental health services should be easily accessible, readily available and comfortable for all. I’m proud to play my part as a supervisor to the talented clinicians who serve clients in the One Life community.”

Karen has a bustling private psychotherapy practice, as well, where she provides counseling to adults. She specializes in depression, anxiety, motherhood and finding happiness for her clients in her private practice.

Karen has two young children, and she loves to read, hike, workout and spend time with friends and family and her dog, Lucy.
