TRAINEE

Kaitlyn is a school-based trainee here at One Life Counseling Center.

She graduated from SJSU with a major in psychology and a minor in deaf education; and is currently in her final year at Pepperdine's MFT program as a MFT/PCC trainee. Kaitlyn spent many years working with children and adolescents of varying ages and abilities, helping them to gain new skills and reach their full potential. She considers helping others a great joy, and watching them achieve goals a blessing. Kaitlyn believes that sometimes the best help is a listening-ear and validation that they are not alone. She hopes to create a place without judgement or shame, a place where people can take charge of their lives and collaborate to become the best versions of themselves. Kaitlyn continues to study and apply a trauma-based lense while working with children, individuals, and families. She is thrilled that you are taking this next step on your healing journey and hopes to be there, encouraging and cheering you on.

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading and writing, watching musicals, hanging out with loved-ones, and taking care of her pet chinchilla.
