Our strengths and weaknesses make us unique. I believe any person can reach his or her full potential and achieve a fulfilling and balanced life through therapy. Therapy can be the best gift you can give to yourself. A counselor can provide a safe place to share concerns, struggles, and challenges while finding your own voice. I follow a humanistic and self centered-approach. I use mindfulness, active listening, self-awareness, empathetic understanding, and a reflection of feelings.
For the past 20 years I have worked in education, working with high school students as a Teacher Assistant and Bilingual Community liaison from diverse cultures and backgrounds, students with learning disabilities, immigrants families, and the Spanish-speaking community. I graduated as a clinical psychologist in 1991 from the University Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and moved to California soon after. I am an AMFT/APCC therapist, and got a Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University.
Cuidar tu salud mental es el mejor regalo que te puedes dar a ti mismo!
