I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, with a MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2021. I come to the field of applied psychology and therapy after completing my doctoral research in the integrated area of Wellbeing & Positive Psychology. It helps me complement and translate my understanding of a strength-based approach into practice with the applied & clinical depth work of the human psyche.

I am a multi-lingual (Hindi, Punjabi, English) and multi-cultural clinician and I have worked with a wide variety of young clients and their families, from different cultures in the United States. I have previously spent time volunteering with community services for women and families, and running an open school for underprivileged children back in India. My passion lies in working for the community and individuals to help them thrive, heal and find their purpose in life. I have had experience in working with issues related to depression, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, grief & loss, coping skills, ADHD, self-esteem, life transitions, autism spectrum and cultural adjustments.

My clinical work is strength-based, client-centred, relational and trauma-informed. I use Psychodynamic approach, Gestalt & Family-systems work to provide an empathetic and holistic environment of understanding self and others. I also incorporate play therapy, art based therapy, CBT and DBT tools in my work with children, families and adults. I have a particular interest in exploring trauma by exploring culture, intersectionality and working with clients’ strengths.

Outside of work I love to engage in performing arts and music, which I am passionate about & it gives me energy to keep doing what I love. I thoroughly enjoy nature, making things with my hands (weaving, craft, design). My partner and my dog are my biggest blessing, and I absolutely cherish spending time with them!
