I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing in-person treatment in San Francisco and Telemedicine to individuals throughout the state of California. I work with adults experiencing issues around LGBTQAI2S+ identity, anxiety, social phobia, and men's issues. Many of my clients may find themselves grappling with a persistent or loud self-critic, stuck in procrastination patterns, dissatisfied with romantic or social relationships, and/or comparing themselves to others.
I hold the belief that when provided the right conditions, each individual inherently has what they need to heal, feel whole, and connected to themselves and others. I approach psychotherapy with acceptance and genuine curiosity. I provide a non-judgmental, honest, and sometimes challenging space for clients to explore all aspects of their identities and how they're showing up in relationships. I draw upon rich psychodynamic, somatic, and mindfulness-based theories and techniques. I welcome rich discussions around sex, spirituality, internet dating, and relationships that may otherwise feel uncomfortable in one's day-to-day life.
I hold two Master’s degrees - one in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and History Education from the City University of NY, Queens. I did my initial training at the Pierce Integral Counseling Center and pursued additional training from PESI, the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, and the Trauma Research Foundation. I have had a daily meditation practice since 2012 which includes silent retreat experience. This helps to inform my practice. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education, non-profit, and corporate environments. I believe this experience lends itself to a deeper understanding of my clients.
