I am licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage & Family Therapist. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento and went on to receive my Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. I began my career working with youth in schools helping students achieve their mental health goals through evidence-based approaches and then later transitioned to working with adults involved in the justice system where I worked with a variety of client experiences, many experiencing addiction, anxiety, trauma, and depression.
I take an integrated approach to therapy geared at guiding my clients towards the best version of yourself. I use a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT) to help my clients gain insight into the mechanisms at play that may be hindering their best self. I believe that through insight development, skill building, and processing of the challenges life has offered us, we can work away from just managing and onward towards being our authentic selves. Each person I work with is unique and therefore deserves a unique therapeutic experience which aligns with their hopes and goals from treatment.
